This magnificent book by ‘Johnny’ Lurani is THE standard work about the legendary Italian road race which was held from 1927 until 1957. The historic events have been researched meticulously and these have been written down very detailed and in a very readable manner. Count Giovanni Lurani was one of Italy’s most experienced motoring men who has witnessed every edition of the event and also participated in the race. He was a good friend of the English record breaker George Eyston. In this book you will learn the developments and all the ins-and-outs of this very fast road race. Of course the incredible 1955 record drive of Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson in their Mercedes-Benz SLR is included!
This heavy hardcover book is in FINE, superb, condition throughout. To have something to nit-pick about; the top of the dust-jacket on the spine is a bit discouloured.
