Motoring is my Business – John Bolster

Every British motorsport enthusiast, of a certain age, knows the name of John Bolster… This flamboyant character was a speed ACE of the purest water. He participated in speed trials with chain driven Frazer-Nash cars, he lived on the verge of an early demise in hillclimbing competitions at Shelshley Walsh with his homebuild ‘BLOODY MARY’ and he raced ERA cars… But that is not all, oh no, his life was so full of motoring exploits that the title of the book pretty well describes the contents. Bolster was also a technical editor of Autosport Magazine, his road-test reports of many (now classic) cars are legendary. This book will grab your undevided attention from the very beginning, it is all one big adventure, a ‘big boy’ playing with cars and having fun with a lot of people in motoring circles. Highly recommended!
This book is in excellent condition, some slight bumping to the outer edges of the spine. Minimal foxing to the top of the text bloc which is not visible in the pages. The first white page shows slight discolouration. For the rest this book is very clean indeed. The dust jacket is excellent, some scuffing and some tiny chips at the extremities. The dust jacket is now protected by a high quality Brodart polyester film archival jacket cover. Please study the many photos of the actual book carefully, they form part of the description. “Enjoy the Ride!”
