RARE 1940s Philips Dyno Torch ‘Knijpkat’ Dynamo Flashlight, Fully Refurbished!

Here we have a gorgeous matte green 1940s Philips dynamo flashlight in beautifully refurbished condition! These ‘dyno torches’ were named ‘Knijpkat’ in the Netherlands. ‘Knijpkat’ translates to ‘squeeze cat’ in English. The Dutch derived the name from the particular sound the dynamo makes. In 1940 Philips was instructed by the German occupier to produce these small and rugged dyno torches for the Wehrmacht (Kriegsmarine). Many of these Philips dyno torches found their way to European and American (military) car enthusiasts who kept one in the dasboard locker of their car. We have a batch of these flashlights which were serviced and refurbished by a clock maker. This dyno torch will be a great period correct dashboard item for your late 1940s and 1950s car! “Enjoy the Ride!”
