SOLD to France: ULTRA RARE HITACHI KM-1422S, Early 1970s Classic Car Auto Radio Honda, Datsun, Nissan, Toyota and Others – With MP3, AUX and Bluetooth

Here we have an ULTRA RARE vintage original early 1970s Hitachi KM-1422S classic car auto radio in excellent refurbished condition! The radio comes complete with its original operating guide / user manual AND an added DIN socket to connect external play-back devices like our De Luxe MP3 kit! These very good looking radios are near impossible to find. In period Hitachi radios were used in a variety of Japanese cars on the American market like Datsun, Honda, Nissan and Toyota. The radios were also sold separately in the USA and these models were also found in Triumph TR and other European sports cars. The radio is suitable for 6 Volt and 12 Volt systems and for positive and negative earth / ground cars. The radio features the desired FM channel and a US FM scale which covers the ranges from 88 up to 108 Mhz!
The radio plays perfectly and the sound is very powerful! The radio was fully cleaned, serviced and refurbished, we have left the top and bottom radio covers original, these show a touch of vintage patina. The only assumed ‘imperfection’ concerns the tone button; it has no click or spring action but it operates functionally like it should giving higer tones or lower tones if so desired. All the connection cables and fuse are already on the radio. In our opinion this beautiful Hitachi would look absolutely amazing in a Honda S800! “Enjoy the Ride!”

This Hitachi mono auto radio is MP3 ready featuring a DIN socket to connect an external device. This radio comes complete with a Classentials de Luxe mono MP3 Kit, a Bluetooth Music receiver and a Bluetooth handsfree set to wirelessly connect your smartphone or other playback device!

Handy customers experienced with working and tinkering on classic cars can install a radio by themselves. All others we strictly advise to have their vintage radio installed by an experienced mechanic / electrician / local garage. Our installation kits contain the parts and instructions needed to install a radio in a factory original prepared car. In case your dashboard aperture / mount has been changed by previous owners over the last 40 -50 years you might need, or have to make, different parts to make the radio fit properly.

In the rare case that a transistor radio stops working you send it back to us for immediate exchange (in case a comparable unit is in stock) or repair.
