The History of Motor Racing by William (Bill) Boddy, 1977

The History of Motor Racing written by the renowned Motor Sport Editor and writer William (Bill) Boddy is a magnificent work on the history of motor racing. This specific book was used by the British writer David Paine as (one of his many) reference book(s) for writing his book ‚The Zborowski Inheritance’ about the Zborowski’s (Racing drivers of the 1900- 1924 period). The book gives a very well written and superbly illustrated account of all the ins-and-outs of the most heroic pioneer ages of motor racing up to the early Formula 1 era. The book tells about the drivers, the cars, the technological developments and it even gives an insight in the Land Speed Record attempts. A Highly recommended book for the vintage motor racing enthusiast!
