Here we have a highly interesting, fabulous and ultra rare vintage original 1950s ‘THE ROTAFLARE search spot lamp in brand new boxed condition! The Rotaflare lamp is supposed to be mounted at the front of a classic car above the bumper. The reflector can be remote controlled mechanically to the left and the right with a push-pull knob on the dashboard! This is a highly desirable accessory and a ‘neck-turning’ vintage motoring gadget! The Rotaflare search lamp would be a great addition to any British (saloon / sports / rally) car of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. The lamp weighs 1.8 kilogrammes (complete with bowden cable and switch as pictured) and it measures 18 centimetres (cm) in diameter. The lamp head is 11 centimetres deep and the bowden cable is about 150 centimetres long. As stated, the lamp comes complete with an on/off switch (white in the same colour as the swivel remote control knob) which is packed in the plastic bag tied to the cable.
