Description
The Helphos search lamp is mounted to the inside of the windscreen with a special suction device which also contains the lense of the lamp. The light beam can be directed in any direction by moving the rear grip on the lamp housing. The on / off switch is neatly placed within ‘thumbs reach’ at the top of the grip. The lamp features an approximately 200 centimetres (80 Inch) long wire with a modern 12V cigarette plug at the end (old style plug included). The diameter of the lamp is 12 centimetres (4,75 inch) and it is also 12 centimetres (4,75 inch) high. The original box measures 14 x 14 x 15 centimetres (5,5 x 5,5 x 5,8 inch). This about 60 years old Helphos search lamp is in BRAND NEW never used condition in its original box. The suction cup is still in a superb and soft condition. The previous owner had preserved the rubber with talcum power and we have done the same. The dust you see on the lam and lens is talcum powder, we will dust the parts off before shipping. The lamp and the suction cup were tested on a classic car windscreen; everything works perfectly. It is advised to apply some glycerine before mounting it on the windshield of your car. The original glycerine is included as is a small plastic bottle with fresh glycerine. This is a highly desirable and very convenient accessory which will become handy in dark conditions during any historic rally or any road trip.
